OH STEM Bus is a mobile STEM after-school program for underserved youth who find themselves unqualified for STEM-focused schools and programs due to their living zone or because of financial and other economic barriers. This particular group of underserved youth will benefit from having a mobile laboratory come to their neighborhood, giving them the opportunity to participate in STEM learning environments. Each OH STEM mobile laboratory will be custom outfitted with several lab stations that will allow the youth to participate and be engaged in pre-planned STEM projects and activities.
OH STEM Bus laboratories feature activities that provide STEM and STEAM concepts and principles for youth grades 3 through 5, grades 6 through 8, and grades 9 through 12. Volunteers that are professionals in STEM or education fields will provide instruction, guidance, and oversight to the students.
